AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
