According to information from Israel, a minimum of 98 detainees from Palestine have died during detention since October 2023. A human rights group located in Israel has reported that the actual number is likely substantially larger, because of many of missing people from Gaza.

Further inmates who lost their lives in detention in Israel are unidentified. Detention administrators and military provided researchers with the number of deaths in detention, and minimal further data for example the location where they died, but excluding the inmates’ personal details.
